Dr. Amily Nguyen is a California native who was raised in the Bay Area and later moved to Southern California, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in 2015.

She has a strong interest for veterinary public health, preventive medicine and soft tissue surgery. Since graduating, she has broadened her expertise beyond dogs and cats to include exotic/pocket pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and reptiles.

Dr. Nguyen is also dedicated to the future of veterinary medicine and her local professional communities. As a clinical site preceptor, she mentors veterinary students, helping shape the next generation of veterinarians to practice high quality medicine as they prepare for their future careers.

Being a pet owner herself, Dr. Nguyen shows a deep appreciation for the human animal bond. She understands that pets are beloved members of the family and values the trust pet owners place in her. She strives to build a compassionate and collaborative partnership with each pet owner – supporting them in making informed decisions for their pet’s health and well-being while building lasting relations with her clients and their beloved pets.

In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys staying active and spending time with her family. She’s also an avid home baker, continuing to master the art of sourdough and experimenting in the kitchen. When it’s game time, you’ll likely find her cheering on her favorite hockey team, the San Jose Sharks.
